The Sayf app is designed to provide three levels of alerts. These alert levels indicate the severity of the situation, ranging from 1 (minimum) to 3 (maximum).
- Alert level 1: Alert Level One is in the form of a self-notification. These alerts will be triggered for risks identified by the app based on the user’s own movements and location.
- Actions: The user is expected to react to the alert, either by pressing de-escalate if they are okay or pressing escalate if they need to notify emergency contact(s) (escalate).
- Alert level 2: Alert Level Two is received by a user’s emergency contacts indicating that the user may be at risk and require assistance.
- Actions: The emergency contacts are expected to check in with the user and either de-escalate (which cancels the alert) or escalate the alert. If the user is in a group subscribed to a Standard plan, and the emergency contact escalates the alert, then an SOS request is sent to all emergency contacts of the user to indicate the emergency. If the user is in a group subscribed to a Premium plan, and the emergency contact escalates the alert, then an SOS request is sent to emergency services providers, and an emergency responder will be dispatched to the user’s location.
- Alert level 3: This is the highest level of alert which is triggered if a user presses the SOS button on the app. If the user is in a group subscribed to a Premium plan an emergency responder will be dispatched to the user’s location. If the user is in a group subscribed to a Standard plan an SOS alert is sent to all of the user’s emergency contacts configured on the app to indicate the emergency.
Actions: Emergency contacts to get in touch with the user and assist the user. For users who members of groups subscribed to a Premium plan, the emergency responders will be in contact with the user in need and manage the situation.
