- Main, admin and standard users can manage alerts on the App and choose to switch them on or off based on preferences
- The options available include managing self-alerts, and high-risk area alerts
- Self-alerts are typically useful as they provide the user the opportunity to confirm events and their level of criticality
- High risk area alerts notify the user’s emergency contacts when a member enters into designated high-risk zones, which are predefined areas known for frequent motor vehicle theft or other crimes and alerts emergency contacts based on the user’s movement patterns in these areas
- The user has the option to switch off the receipt of high-risk alerts, which can be preferred by some users who frequently visit a high-risk area or who reside Iin a high-risk areas and prefer not to receive high-risk area alerts frequently.
- To manage both self and high-risk zone alerts go to:
- Menu at the bottom of the app
- Select preferences
- Toggle the self-alert or high-risk area preference settings on or off
- Please note: The system will continue to monitor the user’s movement relative to high-risk areas and including other data, identify critical events which require escalation to the group members and emergency contacts
